"My Supports"
When I think of the word support I think of the words like bear up, assistance, approval, comfort, encouragement, these are words that describe the support system that is the glue that holds my life together. First and foremost, my source to everything that I am and everything that I will ever be is God. He tells me in his word that he is my source and that he will never leave me nor will he forsake me. Therefore, I lean and depend on him for everything. Next there is my husband who is so wonderful to me, he keeps me grounded, when I feel like I can't do another assignment he is that nudge that keeps me going and who reminds me to look toward the finish line. Because of his job he is gone most of the time but he calls me to make sure I have or I am doing my assignments. My family is somewhat small but the love that radiates makes the difference for the size. My youngest sister lives across the street from me and she keeps me going when I get home late nights, she always check on me to make sure I have eaten because my husband is on the road working a lot so, she takes really good care of me. And last but certainly not least, my best friend.I have known her since grade school and at this time she is also in school which makes it so great because we can help each other. We depend on each other quite a bit especially now. Our friendship is like hand and glove, we get along so well but we are totally opposite, when I'm in sync she isn't and when she is synced I'm not. Although we are opposites we are like two magnets, she compliments me and I compliment her. I love the support system that I have, it's an energy source for me.

Janice,
ReplyDeleteI appreciated your comments about having a small family. I also have a small family and they are a major influence on my life. They let me know when I am being too hard on myself and keep me centered. I think that it is not about the size of the family, but about the quality of caring and love that each member contributes.
Thanks for your comments,
Amanda
I can relate to the support you receive from your husband, and family. They are truly my cheerleaders and motivate me to keep running the race. It is so important to have the ones you love most rally, and support you. It makes it all seem worth it, and you feel great about yourself when the task is complete.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed reading your post on support. It is good to see that people receive such great support from their family. It really help individuals when they have such a positive support system.
ReplyDeleteYou definitely have a strong supporting cast Ms Janice. Thank you for sharing your support I know they really appreciate you and want you to be the best you can be. God is definitely good and has brought wonderful people in your life that cares and supports you and your dreams. It is amazing the feelings we encounter from those that care so much about us. Really allows us to strive for greatness because we know there is someone to help us up when we are down or give us that push when we want to procrastinate. Life is hard and at times we need a push or a pull from someone in a positive way.
